My first night ski was a blast! My husband, Jared, and I were able to get out without the kids for a quick half hour ski 5 minutes from our house in Washburn.
Lake Superior View Golf, Ski & Bike had the prefect achievable beginners loop. We stayed on the shorter run and ended up being out for a half hour. DIRECTIONS are at the bottom and you can pick up a seasonal or day pass at Washburn Hardware and Sport.
Our super easy packing list:
-Extra Warm Layers, nights tend to be colder
-Headlamps
-Water
-Phone for safety and extra flashlight just in case
-Stargazing Map (check out our guides and constellations collection here)
The colder night temps also meant slicker snow so we did end up taking a few more diggers than usual. But we made it out alive and laughing.
We also made sure to choose a clear night so that we could see the stars (can you find Orion in the picture above). But full moon nights are probably amazing too!
